Process: Faith
Faith is a collection inspired in my personal life, this is inspired in what I am. The candles day is a Colombian religious tradition that happens in December. People will light up candles in order to have the Virgin's blessing for the rest of the religious year. This celebration reunites families and friends around the feeling of devotion and faith. For this collection I decided to bring soft pastel colors that represent the fact on just believing. Through out the whole collection there is a combination of big soft shapes and ruffles that represent that personal growth people get by believing in what makes them happy, in this case by believing on the Virgin's blessing.
FITTING
Process: Red Thread of Life
A collection inspired in the Chinese tale "The red Thread of life". Which states that everyone has a lover specially designated to us since we are born. These designated couples are attached by an invisible red thread that will keep them together always and forever. For this collection, I used the zero waste pattern technique which consists in economizing fabric at the time of doing a pattern, as a result interesting shapes will be reflected on the final garment.
